Promote Childbirth

To Promote Delivery, Why Not To Have The Prenatal Massage and Acupuncture Especially Close To Your Estimated Delivery Date (EDD)?

We suggest mothers begin their massage sessions after 28 weeks of pregnancy and the latest by 2 weeks before your estimated delivery date (EDD), because pregnancy after this period is more stable than in the first trimester.

However, if you would like to get your prenatal massage between week 16 to 27 of pregnancy, please consult and get the go-ahead from your gynaecologist first.

Having the Prenatal Massages that will help to promote delivery, especially if you feel stressed and irritated easily, anxiety, heavy legs, sore back and lower back pain.

A full-term pregnancy is one that is 39-40 weeks long.  If you are still pregnant at 41-42 weeks (late-term), your health care provider will usually recommend an induction of labor.

To promote delivery, the prenatal massage is one of the best things you should do for yourselves when it is close to the due date especially if you HAVE NOT HAD (or NOT MANY) prenatal massages during the period of your pregnancy.

Most pregnant women notice swelling in their extremities (typically the feet) due to the combination of the extra blood volume, gravity, and the weight of the baby impeding blood flow from the legs back to the heart. This obstruction in circulation can lead to *tired and heavy legs, calf cramps (due in part to a build-up of metabolic waste products in the stagnant lower legs), swelling of the feet, and varicose veins. Massage helps to move the blood and excess lymphatic fluid out of the extremities so that it can be recirculated.
